– Italian Flora Fauna Award –
Rule

1) The I.F.F.A. (Italian Flora Fauna Award) is issued from Section A.R.I. of Mondovì (Cuneo) for O.M. and S.W.L. with the purpose to let know the National Parks, the Regional Natural Parks, the Reserves, the Oases and the Natural or Protected Areas, recognized by the Italian Government of the environment and Guardianship of the Territory, in the different points of the Italian geography and to valorize the National Natural patrimony and their maintenance. Born under the patronage of WFF in the year 2009, it follows the norms of the International Diploma “WWFF – WorldWide Flora & Fauna http://wwff.co/ and the Manager is the Vice-chairmanof the WWFF for Italy.
2) For obtaining the Award, that will have released in an single category, the applicant will have to show to have contacted the following number of Flora Fauna:
· Italian and Foreign stations: 10 different references for the HF.
· Italian and Foreign stations: 5 different references for the VHF (50MHz and up).
3) Contacts on all ham radio bands, from 2 to 160 meters, and in the SSB, CW, RTTY, SSTV and any other digital mode are valid. There is not differentiations of mode or band.
4) Contacts with working stations from the Flora Fauna are valid since August 1st. 2009.
5) The I.F.F.A. Award is issued to each O.M. or S.W.L. by presenting to Award Manager (Massimo Balsamo, IK1GPG) or to Technical Award Manager (Betty Sciolla, IK1QFM) of the Section A.R.I. of Mondovì, C/o Segreteria IK1QFM Betty Sciolla, Via Torino 89, I-12084 Mondovì (Cuneo) Italia, by e-mail, as follows:
1) Application form of I.F.F.A. completed on each point (downloadable from web site at http://www.dcia.it/iffa)
2) The list of references in file format (Text, Excel, Database, ADIF, Cabrillo, ect.)
3) Automatically by the application available at: http://wwff.co/logsearch/
6) Owners of I.F.F.A. Award could use the logo on their QSL and on their letter.
7) The award is free and will be sent by e-mail in PDF format or by priority mail the parchment paper to colours of the dimensions 210x297mm in size at 13 Euro or 17US$ (shipping and handling costs for Europe), 15 Euro or 20US$ (shipping and handling costs outside Europe). It is possible to use PayPal. Please contact us for further information
8) The QSLs won’t owe to be sent because the control will automatically be effected by the Award Managers during the elaboration of the data with the Software I0SSH-Log-IFFA-Dbase.
9) The Updated are free and issued on electronic form. Each O.M. or S.W.L. can send own updating each time he want but with a minimum of 2 month from the previous request.
10) The endorsemen consist in an adhesive colour sticker and it will be granted to have worked at least 25 Flora Fauna (25, 50, 75, 100, ect). For the requestannex SAE + 4 Euro or 5US$ (shipping and handling costs for Europe), SAE + 5 Euro or 7US$ (shipping and handling costs outside Europe).
11) The Radio Amateurs that have activated at least 3 references, has right to apply automatically the I.F.F.A. Operator Award and he can accredit own activity.
12) The list of I.F.F.A. are available at: http://www.dcia.it/iffa
13) Callsign of who give information concerning Flora Fauna not listed in the directory or correction will be mentioned on the first page of the directory as contributor.
14) The Managers are reserved to communicate eventual future modifications or new instructions on http://www.dcia.it/iffa
Section Activators
15) An activation, for the Award, will considered valid only if it will respect the following rules:
15.1) The station (antenna, radio, current, etc.) will have to transmit to inside the Flora Fauna area.
15.2) The station will have effected at least 100 contacts in HF or 30 contacts in VHF.
15.3) The station will have effected at least 80 contacts in HF or 15 contacts in VHF for an activation already accredited also from others operators.
15.4) For activation (in the same day) to which participates more than an operator, the reference will be accredited to the holder of the nominative (100 QSOs if it is the first activation or 80 QSOs if it is the second activation). To get the accredit for other operators, they will can to work at least other 50 QSOs.
15.4a) For activation with Radio Club or Special Call, the reference will be accredited for all of the operators that will be on the air (including special callsign or Club Call if required), with clear photographic evidence of the presence of he same at the station (so not only visitors), respecting the point 15.2 (always 100 Qso in the two bands) and15.5.
15.5) It isn’t possible to activate contemporarily more than 1 references and are not permitted more than four activations in the same day with the same nominative. The duration of the activation has to be superior to 1.5 hour (new one and reactivation) and the band of the 20 meters must be uses obligatorily
For Special or Radio Club stations must at least 100 QSOs, both in the case of a new one and reactivation.
15.6) The activator must to send through the web portal http://www.diplomaradio.it/ within 15 days from the activationthe following documentation:
a) The Log only on ADIF file format named, for example, “IFF-001_CALL_01.ADI”(as specified on FAQ form);
b) clear photographic documentation (minimum 5) which prove the activation (for residents is needed a photo of shack and antennas);
c) Application form available will be generated automatically through the portal;
d) possible special authorization.
e) one files with extension. kmz with the coordinates of the location produced by the program Google Earth (as specified on FAQ module); the file .kmz fortransmission place will be necessary to determine the place of transmission within the IFFA reference and to calculate the geographical coordinates for the POI updating.
f) Short movie of the activation in MOV. MP4, MPEG or others format (not obligatory, but recommended).
15.7) The activator must able to perform traffic the QSL via Bureau and is obliged to send direct card to who requested with SASE. Sending QSLs by the Bureau is recommended.
15.8) Will be not considered to the same activator further activation, if the previous is not ended and not reached the requested quorum as the points 15.2) and 15.3). Activations not completed must be informed immediately to the Award Manager and the activator must perform instructions received from the Award Manager, which are on his appeal able judgement. If it is impossible to end the activation also on another occasion, it will be necessary to send all documentation to the Award Manager who will answer to the activator giving all necessary instructions. These are not under judgement.
15.9) To activator that is behaved in different way from the regulations or other improper actions, to judgement of the Award Manager and of the President of Section A.R.I. of Mondovì, titular of the Award felt the opinions of the Award Manager and after to be informed to average letter (also via email), the following endorsements could be sanctioned:
a) notice
b) suspension from the activations for a period not less of 1 month and till a maximum of 24 months
c) definitive and irrevocable disqualification as I.F.F.A. activator
15.10) After 3 month the logs cannot have integrations or modifications.
15.11) After the validation the Award Manager IFFA will send directly the logs to the CommitteeWWFFfor to consult at: http://wwff.co/logsearch/
15.12) Will be not considered to anyone further activation if for the previous, the activator has not sent request valid documentation via e-mail (log, photo and validation form within 15 days from activation. If there are valid cause to respect those timing. For this purpose Manager must be obligatory informed.
15.13) During the DCI Meeting, held in the 3° weekend of September, activities are prohibited.
15.14) The FAQ form is integral part of the rule.
15.15) Are not admitted any activation or will be thought valid operations in which the activator QRP is declared.

16) The Flora Faunal will get a reference number as the following example:
ØIFF-001 (IFF – progressive Number).
17) Definition of Flora Fauna. The following typologies can be referenced: National Parks, Regional Natural Parks, Reserves, Oases and Natural or Protected Areasand Natura 2000.
If some I.F.F.A. references assigned haven’t these characteristics can to be cancelled through the predisposed form.

RECOGNITIONS FOR ACTIVATORS AND HUNTERS
18) For obtaining the Honour Roll I.F.F.A. Hunters the applicant will have to show to have contacted 100 different References. It consists in a personalized plate. The fee is 40 Euro or 60US$ to cover the shipping cost in Europe (Euro 50 or 75US$ to cover the shipping cost outside Europe).
19) The Radio Amateurs that have activated at least 25 different References can obtain the Honour Roll I.F.F.A. Operator. It consists in a personalized crest. The fee is 40 Euro or 60US$ to cover the shipping cost in Europe (Euro 50 or 75US$ to cover the shipping cost outside Europe).
20) For obtaining the Top Honour Roll I.F.F.A. Hunters the applicant will have to show to have contacted 200 different References and to have already request the Honour Roll I.F.F.A.. It consists in a personalized plate. The fee is 40 Euro or 60US$ to cover the shipping cost in Europe (Euro 50 or 75US$ to cover the shipping cost outside Europe).
21) The Radio Amateurs that have activated at least 100 different References and to have already request the Honour Roll I.F.F.A Operator can to obtain the Top Honour Roll I.F.F.A. Operator. It consists in a personalized crest. The crest is free.
22) Nr. 5 Awards Stickers Progression Huntersare free and will be sent by e-mail in PDF format or by priority mail the parchment paper to colours of the dimensions 210x297mm in size at 13 Euro or 17US$ (shipping and handling costs for Europe), 15 Euro or 20US$ (shipping and handling costs outside Europe).
23) Nr. 8 Award Stickers Progression Activators are free and will be sent by e-mail in PDF format or by priority mail the parchment paper to colours of the dimensions 210x297mm in size at 13 Euro or 17US$ (shipping and handling costs for Europe), 15 Euro or 20US$ (shipping and handling costs outside Europe). The endorsemen consist in an adhesive colour sticker and it will be granted to have activated at least 5 Flora Fauna (10, 15, 20, 25, 30, ect). For the requestannex SAE + 4 Euro or 5US$ (shipping and handling costs for Europe), SAE + 5 Euro or 7US$ (shipping and handling costs outside Europe).
24) From August 2017, “Fame IFFA Activators” is foreseen for the hunter who has activated the largest number of IFFA references from 1 August to 31 July of each calendar year (for the year 2018: 01/08/2017 – 31/07/2018, and so on) and is already in possession of Honor Roll IFFA Activators. It consists of a personalized crest.
The “Fame IFFA Activators” can not be awarded to the winner of the previous edition.
For the top 10 in the ranking will be sent a personalized award in PDF format.
25) From August 2017, “Fame IFFA Hunters” is foreseen for the hunter who has contacted the largest number of IFFA references from 1 August to 31 July of each calendar year (for the year 2018: 01/08/2017 – 31/07/2018, and so on) and is already in possession of Honor Roll IFFA Hunters. It consists of a personalized crest.
The “Fame IFFA Hunters” can not be awarded to the winner of the previous edition.
For the top 50 in the ranking will be sent a personalized award in PDF format.
